Weekly Newsletter for October
1-5, 2018
In Reading, we took our test for the
story “Pig in a Wig.” Throughout this story we discussed who helps
animals. We focused on identifying the
plot of the story. We took our test on
this story today!
Our focus phonics skill was short I
and consonant –x. Our spelling words
were six, lip, in, wig, it, did, mix, sit, pin, and fix. Our challenge words were “she” and “take.” We took our test on these spelling words
today!
In
Math, we are learning how to create, organize and represent mathematical
ideas! This week we will continue to
work on identifying numbers using ten frames.
We will also introduce simple addition through “part, part, whole”
mats. The Unit 1 test for Math will be
on Wednesday, October 3rd.
