Weekly Newsletter for March
25-29, 2019
We will begin our new story, “Honey
Bees,” this week! We will discuss how
insect communities are like a community of people. We will also revisit the skill of compare and
contrast! Our high frequency words are
family, other, also, their, some and new.
Our focus phonics skills are the
Long E sound and syllables VC/CV. The
spelling words for this story are: feet, he, see, we, green, me, she, tree,
week, and be. Our challenge words are “some” and “family.”
In Math, we will continue to work on
time and begin measurement! This week we
are focusing on working with “half past” or “thirty” on an analog and digital
clock. We will also begin to discuss
measurement using different items to measure with!
