Newsletter for September 30- October 4, 2019
In Reading, we will begin our new
story, “The Big Blue Ox.” We will
discuss how animals can help us! We will
also revisit the skill of identifying the characters and setting within a
story! The high frequency words are:
blue, help, little, from, use, and get.
Our focus phonics skills for this
story are short O and plural –s. The
spelling words are: hot, hop, pot, pop, ox, lock, mop, got, and rock. Our challenge words are “help” and “use”.
Our test in Math for organizing and
representing data will be on Wednesday, October 2nd! We will
then begin Unit 2! Throughout this unit,
we will focus on addition and subtraction concepts! Key vocabulary words for this unit are: join,
separate, sum, difference and equal!

Day 5- Art- American Pride/Spartan Spirit Friday

will be our day to shop the Scholastic Book Fair!
**It is also Family Night to shop
from 4pm-7pm.
Thursday (10/10)- Picture Re-Take Day!
Friday (10/11)-
Act 80 Half Day—Students will be dismissed at 12 noon
