We will begin our new story, “Get
the Egg!” Throughout this story we will
discuss which wild animals live in our neighborhoods. We will continue to work on identifying the
main idea of a story with supporting details.
Our high frequency words for this story are: saw, tree, your and
small.
Our focus phonics skills for this
story are short e and initial consonant blends.
The spelling words for this story are: men, red, step, ten, net, leg,
jet, sled, wet and bed. Our challenge
words are “saw” and “your.”
In Math this week, we will work on
identifying the part we know and the missing addend! We will also discuss comparing two groups of
objects and creating a number sentence! Our
test for Unit 2 will be early next week!
This Thursday, October 31st,
we will be having our annual Halloween parade and treat in our classroom. An important paper was sent home in our
Friday Folders outlining the guidelines.
Please send your child’s costume in a bag labeled with their name
on Thursday, October 31st!
Thursday is also the end of the
month of October. I will be collecting
reading logs on that day! Please be sure
to list all books that the students read for that month! Students who completed 10 entries will
receive a prize! Thank you for continued
support!
