In Reading, we are discussing how
animal communities work together to survive through our story, “The Big Circle.” We are also discussing sequencing and
identifying clue words such as first, next, then, finally. Our test for this story will be on Monday,
February 12th.
Our phonics skills for this story
are the long O sound and contractions.
Our spelling words include home, hope, rose, woke, those, bone, hose,
joke, rode and stone. Our challenge
words are “there” and “together.” Our
spelling test will be on Monday, February 12th.
In Math, we are continuing to learn
about number patterns when counting to 120!
Our Topic 7 test will be on Friday, February 9th.
On Friday, February 9th
we will be having our Valentine’s Day party!
Students may bring in valentines/ treats for each student if you
wish! There are now 23 students total in
our class! A list of names of the
students in our class was sent home in Friday Folders last week!
I am so excited to share that each
student in our class received a free book from Scholastic due to our recent
book order! Thank you so much for your
continued support of Scholastic book orders! J
