Weekly Newsletter for November 27- December 1, 2017

          In our new story, “Animal Park,” our question is “what can we learn from wild animals by watching them?”  As a class we will also be discussing cause and effect.  Our test for this story will be on Tuesday, December 5^th! 

Our phonics skills for this story are the short u sound and final consonant blends.  Our spelling words are: crust, bump, jump, must, just, dust, trust, dusk, hunt, and lump.  Our challenge words are: “many” and “into.” The test for our spelling words will be on Tuesday, December 5^th!   

We started a new topic in Math!  Topic 5 will cover addition facts to 20.  Please continue to review the math fact flash cards with your child.  These flash cards should be kept in their OWL folder.  We will be adding new flash cards this week! J

November AR papers will be collected on Thursday, November 30^th.  Students that completed the AR paper will receive a Pizza Hut book-it coupon for a personal sized pizza.  December AR papers will be sent home on Friday, December 1^st.

Monday (11/27)- NO SCHOOL!

Tuesday (11/28)- Day 10- Gym *This was a change due to Wednesday being a non-rotation day!

Wednesday (11/29)-Day 1- Music

Thursday (11/30)- Day 2- Computers

Friday (12/1)- Day 3- Art

December 8^th- Standards Based Progress Reports will be sent home with students!

December 9^th- North Schuylkill Elementary Chorus/ Band Program
