This
week we will continue to work on the phonics skill Long A and consonants c /s/
and g /j/. We will also continue to
discuss cause and effect this week as a class through read aloud stories!
In Math, we will work on comparing two
numbers. Listen for key words such as “greater
than, less than, or equal to.” We will
begin working on solving word problems using base ten blocks!
January Reading Logs will be collected
next Friday (1/31). Please continue to
read with your child at home! J By
practicing reading, students are building both their fluency and comprehension
skills! The decodable readers are a
great practice to build these skills as well as practice our focus phonics
skills! Thank you for your continued
support! J
Our schedule this upcoming week:
Monday (1/20)- No School for Students! – Teacher In-service
day
Tuesday (1/21)- Day 1- Art
Wednesday (1/22)- Day 2- Computers
Thursday (1/23)- Day 3- Gym
Friday (1/24)- Day 4- Music *Report Cards will be
sent home in your child’s Friday Folder today! J
