Weekly Newsletter for December
2-6, 2019
This week, we will begin our new
story, “A Big Fish for Max!” Throughout
this story, we will discuss things that families do together. Our reading strategy will be sequencing. The high frequency words for this story
are: said, want, good, catch, no, and
put.
Our focus phonics skills are digraphs –sh
and –th and the vowel sound in ball, a, al.
Our spelling words are: fish, then, shut, with, rush, shell, shop,
trash, thin and ship. Our challenge
words are “want” and “good.”
In Math, we will continue to work on
solving doubles facts. We will also
begin adding three digits together to find the sum!
