Welcome back and Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing break! J

Our focus phonics skills for this story are consonant digraphs sh and th, as well as the vowel sound a, al in ball.  Our spelling words are fish, then, shut, with, rush, shell, shop, trash, thin, and ship.  Our challenge words are “want” and “good.”  Our Spelling Test on these words will be on Wednesday, January 9th.

We will begin Unit 4 in Math this week!  Throughout this Unit, we will be discussing place value We will first start by identifying groups of tens!

As a class, we love to read and listen to stories!  It is very important that kids hear fluent reading and activate comprehension strategies.  One way we can practice these skills is by having guest readers come into our classroom!  If any parent/ grandparent/ guardian would like to come into our class, please let me know by writing me a note, email or Class Dojo message!
