Weekly Newsletter for November 5-9,
2018
In Reading, we will
begin our new story, “Get the Egg!” We
will discuss wild animals that we see in our neighborhood. We will also continue to work on identifying
the Main Idea and Key Details of a story!
Our sight words for this story are: saw, tree, your and small.
Our
focus phonics skills for this story are short e and initial consonant
blends. The spelling words for this
story are: men, red, step, ten, net, leg, jet, sled, wet, and bed. Our challenge words are “saw” and “your.”
In
Math, we are continuing to work on addition and subtraction sentences! We are continuing to find the missing addend,
finding two addition sentences that equal the same sum, and solving math
facts! Our Topic 2 Test will be early
next week!
*A friendly reminder: As of November
4th (Daylight Savings) shorts are no longer allowed to be worn! As
the weather continues to cool off, please be sure to dress accordingly.
We will be going outside for recess as much as possible! J

Monday (11/12) is an Act 80 Day!
There is no school for students on this day!
