Weekly Newsletter for December
10- 14, 2018
We will wrap up our story, “Animal
Park,” on Thursday, December 13th with our test! Throughout this story, we have been
discussing things we can learn about wild animals by watching them. We have also worked on our skill of identifying
Cause and Effect. Our key sight words
are: home, them, into, and many.
Our
focus phonics skills for this story are short u and final consonant
blends. Our spelling words are: crust,
bump, jump, must, just, dust, trust, dusk, hunt, and lump. Our challenge words are “many” and
“into.” Our test on this story will be Thursday,
December 13th.
In Math, we will continue to work on
identifying double facts and near doubles.
We will also continue to work on strengthening our basic facts to 20!
With cold and flu season among us, we are in need of tissues and hand
sanitizer to keep those germs away! If you are willing to donate
these items to our classroom, we would really appreciate it! J
