Weekly Newsletter for May 14- 18,
2018
We are taking our test on our story, “Where
Are My Animal Friends?” on Monday, May 14th. We will then begin our next story, “Mama’s
Birthday Present.” Throughout this
story, we will discuss how a surprise could be a treasure. We will continue to work on drawing
conclusions from the text.
Our focus phonics skills for this
story are the vowel team ai and ay and singular and plural possessives. Our spelling words for this story are train,
way, tail, play, day, may, rain, gray, and mail. Our challenge words are, “about” and “would.”
We are continuing to discuss adding
tens and ones in Topic 10 Math. We will
soon begin to learn how to regroup the ones column to create another ten!
All library book circulation has ended
for this school year. All library books
are due back by Monday, May 21st.

home! Thank you!
