In our new story, “Frog
and Toad Together,” we will be discussing changes we see in a garden. Throughout this story, we will also dive into
authors purpose. Our test for this story
will be on Friday, April 20th.
Our focus phonics
skills for this story are words with an ending (-ed) and r-controlled ar. Our spelling words are: plan, planned, help,
helped, drop, dropped, call, called, ask, asked. Our challenge words include: “again” and “very.” Our spelling test on these words will also be
on Friday, April 20th.
We have learned how
to read both an analog and digital clock to the hour and half hour. Our key vocabulary includes: hour hand, hour, minute hand, minute,
o’clock, half hour and schedule. We
will take our Topic 13 test on time and schedules tomorrow, April 17th.
A friendly reminder
that on Thursday, April 19th
is our class field trip to Hershey Chocolate World! Students are to wear the blue “North
Schuylkill Spartans” shirt from Boosterthon and school dress-code pants/
shorts. No jeans or sweatpants are
permitted. Also, please be sure that all
lunch items are disposable. All items
will be thrown away!
