Weekly Newsletter for November
11-15, 2019
In
Reading, we will begin our next story, “Animal Park.” Throughout this story, we will discuss what
we can learn from watching wild animals.
Our high frequency words are: home, many, them and into.
Our
focus phonics skills for this story are short u and final consonant
blends. Our spelling words are crust,
bump, jump, must, just, dust, trust, dusk, hunt, and lump. Our challenge words are “many” and
“into.”
In
Math, we will begin Unit 3. Throughout
this unit, we will dive deeper into understanding addition and
subtraction. This week, we will focus on
creating fact families, and solving word problems! In your child’s B.E.E
folder, you will see a “Math Facts” envelope.
Please review these flash cards with your child periodically to continue
to build fluency of math facts! Please
keep these in the B.E.E. folder, as we will be adding more flash cards
throughout the year and using these in our centers! Thank you! J
