Weekly Newsletter for
September 11- 15, 2017
We are kicking off our PBIS program this week and
our focus skill is Safety! We are discussing and practicing how to be
safe throughout our school. The kiddos
are continuing to work very hard collecting those positive behavior points on
Class Dojo! As a class, students are
working together as a team to earn numbers on our hundreds chart! I am very impressed on how many numbers are
already crossed off! Keep up the great
work! J
Our spelling words for this story are: at, can,
cat, back, dad, am, bat, mad, ran, sack.
Bonus words: way, come.
Our focus phonics skills for this story are the
short a sound, and consonant pattern –ck.
We will begin looking at the story elements in the
story, Sam, Come Back! As a
class, we will be discussing important things pets need! We will also continue to build our reading
and writing stamina!
In Math, we are continuing to discuss and
demonstrate “ways to make” in our introduction to addition! You may hear your child saying, “part, part,
whole” with hand motions of joining
their hands together to show this concept!
